International Yoga Day

Annually on the International Yoga day, the Social Responsibility Cell of XIMB takes the student and teaching faulty on an edifying tour of meditation and Yoga for the solidarity of body and soul.

Udaan

SRC of XIMB does it all through its flagship and the much-revered program named UDAAN – a flight of dreams. It aims at spreading love and giving time to the children in need

Independence Day

On the eve of Independence, Day SRC organizes several cultural activities and speech oration by students as well as mess workers. The active participation from not only by students but also from esteemed faculties and staff makes the event lively.

World Humanitarian Day

19th August, World Humanitarian Day is a special day dedicated to recognizing those who have lost their lives working for humanitarian causes. Every year, SRC celebrates this day by ‘Nukkad Natak’ and Speeches form eminent speakers on the topic.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan

Every Year on 2nd October SRC organizes Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan - A initiative where we conduct various activities like Campus cleanness drive, Waste Management and Awareness Programmes about cleanliness and hygiene.

Blood Donation Camps

In the month of November SRC in association with Red Cross organizes Blood Donation camps in XIMB Campus and we aspire to continue this tradition every year and inspire people to find the ‘Real Hero’ inside them.

Children's Day Celebration

Every year on children's day SRC tries to bring smile to the faces of underprivileged and differently-abled children by visiting various NGOs and conducting fun activites and distributing sweets and gifts.

Health Camps

This year SRC had organized a Fat Checkup Health Camp in the campus, where both students, as well as teachers, have participated and received consultation on health and diet plans.

X-Enable

A sports event organized by SRC for the specially-abled children to help them spread their wings and take a flight. Several activities like cricket, skipping, spoon race, tug of war are conducted by the volunteers. Indeed a great way to lighten up their faces and spread happiness.

Joy Of Giving Week

SRC organizes a "Joy of Giving Week" in the month of October with wholehearted participation from the students and faculties. Items like old but usable clothes, bags, blankets, etc are collected and donated to those in need

Diwali Celebration

What can be a better way to celebrate Diwali than with the less fortunate ones. Every Diwali SRC members visit multiple NGOs, Old age homes and Orphanages to celebrate an Eco-Friendly Diwali full of Happiness and Joy.

Art and Handicraft Store

We organize Card and Craft shop every year during Valetines day, World Smile Day and Xpressions where we help sell cards made by Ayub Bhaina, a XIMB mess worker using paper quilling method.

Vakrtiva

Vakrtiva is a platform to integrate their social sensitivity and creativity. It encourages the participants to understand emerging social issues like menstrual hygiene, manual scavenging, juvenile crimes etc. and weave those with creativity to make the audiences aware of the issues.

Vriddhi

Vriddhi is an event which will give participants a reality check on the existing problems in modern India. With a hope of building this conscience in the youth, the SRC Team is introducing this event ‘Vriddhi’ for the first time to think, observe and provide feasible solutions to the problems in the society.

NGO Visits

All around the year SRC visits various NGOs based in Bhubaneswar to spread Happiness and Smile. We generally organize Awareness camps, Games and Fun activities like Wall penthing, Clay Modelling etc.

The Street Store

The Street Store is an innitiative by SRC where the apperals and items collected in the Joy Of Giving Week are put on display in The Street Store just outside XIMB gate and are distributed among the ones in need.

AIDS Awareness Camp

Every year on 1st of December SRC along with volunteers organizes AIDS Awareness Program where we explain and educate peoples of nearby slums through short films and speech by our volunteers.

Para Athlos

In the month of January SRC organizes Para - Athlos: A Sports meet for specially-abled children where they participate in various games like lemon race, 50m race for both Boys and girls, Badminton, Volleyball game and also Tug-of-War.

Holi Celebration

The joy and Happiness of Holi, limited in its reach - for many in the darker corners of our society. We at SRC, try to spread some of the infectious cheer of the festive season by celebrating Holi with the Childrens of Orphanages and Differently-abled Schools & NG

Women's Day Celebration

Every year on 8th March SRC celebrates Women's day in Girl's Orphanages and NGOs by organizing fun activities, self- empowerment workshops.

This day we also conduct fun competitions for students in XIMB.

OUR INITIATIVES

Young Adult Education

An initiative was taken by SRC to educate the Mess Bhainas working in XIMB so that their life becomes a little easier. Students conduct classes every day where they are taught the basic education needed for our day to day life, to advanced concepts. Provision for exams are also arranged sponsored fully by XIMB.

Sakshar Yuva

Shiksha Kunji , an initiative by SRC, is a platform for providing support towards imparting education to the less fortunate members of our society at the grass root level and preparing them for life. It is a platform whereby the XIMB Family (Students, Alumni and Faculty) can channelize their support to the people in need
